Can I add a logo and customize the QR code design?

Yes, on every plan. Choose your colours and gradients, dot and corner shapes, drop a logo in the centre, and run the built-in scannability check before exporting as PNG, SVG or print-ready PDF. The free plan includes three design templates and one call-to-action frame; the remaining templates and frames, and saving your own, are on the paid plans.

Can I change where a code points after it is printed?

Yes, and it is the whole reason to use a dynamic code. Edit the destination and every printed copy follows within seconds. Editing is included on every plan, free ones too — we do not charge for the one thing a dynamic code exists to do.

Can one code send iPhone and Android users to different places?

Accepted Answer

Two ways. The app-store code type reads the phone's operating system and routes to the App Store or Google Play, with a fallback link for desktop visitors. And on Pro you can add device rules to any URL code, routing by operating system or device type.

Can a code show different content by language or time of day?

Accepted Answer

Yes, with redirect rules on Pro. Language rules read the phone's language setting, which is how one printed card can serve guests in six languages. Time rules take a weekday and hour window — note that the window is evaluated in UTC, so convert your local hours and check again when the clocks change.

Can I create a lot of codes at once?

Yes. Bulk generation takes a spreadsheet and makes a batch in one pass, on the Pro and Business plans. It is the difference between thirty listings and thirty afternoons.

Can I put a password or an expiry date on a code?

On Pro and Business. Each code can carry a password, an expiry date and a total scan cap. Past any of those the code shows a notice instead of redirecting — useful for a time-limited offer, and not something to print on anything you cannot reprint.

What happens when I reach 1,000 scans on the free plan?

The code shows a paused notice instead of redirecting, until the month rolls over and the counter resets. Nothing is deleted and the code is not broken — but it stops working for the rest of that month, which is worth knowing before putting a free code on something with real traffic.

No. There is no trial clock and no expiry date on a free code. Print it.

What happens to my codes if I cancel?

They keep redirecting. The account drops to the free plan's limits, and your codes go on working within them — we will not switch off something you printed because a subscription lapsed.

Yes, and the annual price is ten months for twelve on both paid plans. You can switch between monthly and annual at any time.

How big should a printed code be?

Roughly a tenth of the distance it will be read from: about 3 cm on a flyer read at arm's length, 10 cm on a poster read at a metre, 30 cm on a board read from the pavement. Below 2 cm, stop — no amount of design will rescue it.

Which file should I send to the printer?

SVG or the print-ready PDF, both vector, so the code stays sharp at any size. The PDF is 300 DPI with real millimetre dimensions, which is what a print shop asks for. PNG is for screens; blown up to poster size it shows soft or jagged module edges.

Can I use my brand colours?

Yes, as long as the code stays clearly darker than its background. The editor's scannability check computes the actual contrast — including both ends of a gradient, because the pale end is what fails — and tells you before you send the file to the printer.

Will a logo in the middle stop it from scanning?

Accepted Answer

Not if it is paid for. The logo does not sit on top of the code: the modules under it are removed, and error correction rebuilds them. At level H — the default here — that budget covers a logo of about a fifth of the width. The size slider warns you past 30%, and the one rule that overrides everything: scan the printed proof, not the screen.

What do you record when someone scans a code?

One row: the time, which code, the device type, the operating system and browser as the request reports them, the referrer if the browser sends one, and a salted SHA-256 hash of the IP address used to count unique visitors. No name, no email, no advertising identifier.

Do you record where a scan happened?

Accepted Answer

No. There is no geolocation in the analytics at all — not coordinates, not city, not even country. Many services derive a country from the IP address; we do not, which also means we cannot report it. If you want to compare two placements, give each its own code.

Does a scan set cookies?

Accepted Answer

No. Following a scan sets no cookie. The single exception is a password-protected code, where unlocking stores a functional cookie so you are not asked again. If you switch on retargeting pixels, those are gated behind a consent choice shown before the redirect.

Who is responsible for the scan data under GDPR?

The usual arrangement is that you are the controller for your codes' scan data and we are the processor acting on your instructions. We can describe what the software records — see the privacy policy for the field list — but the legal assessment for your particular use belongs to your own lawyer or data protection officer.

Do I need an account?

For a dynamic code, yes — the code has to belong to someone who can edit it later, and that is the point of it. Registration takes an email and a password, no card.

How do I delete my account and my data?

From the dashboard settings, and it is a real delete rather than a flag: the account goes, and each code takes its scan history with it. You can export your data first if you want a copy.
