How does this checker work?

Why won’t my QR code scan?
The common causes are low contrast, no quiet zone (the blank margin around the code), too small a print size, inverted colours, or blur and damage. The checker flags which one applies.
What contrast does a QR code need?
A clear, high step in brightness between the dark modules and the light background — scanners read luminance, not colour, so two colours that look different to you can be identical to a camera. A ratio around 4:1 or higher is safe.
Does a passing result guarantee it prints fine?
It confirms the design is sound. It can’t know your printer, material or the light where the code lives, so always scan a real printed proof before a large run.
